For The Buyer

A Pre-Purchase Log Inspection is used help potential log home buyers determine the condition of logs and log finish prior to purchase. This gives the buyer knowledge and piece of mind when making their decision. This does not take the place of a traditional home inspection.

We developed a Free Checklist to help while evaluating log home properties. When your choices are narrowed to one or two homes, it is strongly recommended the logs be inspected by a log professional.

For The Seller

Whether Your Log Home Requires Minor Cosmetic Attention or Log Replacement, potential buyers may become alarmed by a situation that appears to be serious or costly, however the concerns may be easily corrected.

We offer cost effective ways to restore logs to their original, like new condition. A Newly Restored Log Home will usually sell faster and money spent on repairs may be returned in the selling price. Ask your Real Estate Agent for their opinion.

If Your Log Home has been Regularly Maintained or Recently Restored, you can also benefit from a Log Maintenance Report by giving the potential buyers peace of mind and confidence knowing the logs are of sound integrity and the finish is continuing to protect the logs. This may help expedite your sale while receiving the price you deserve!

Pre-Purchase Log Inspection... takes approximately 2-3 hours depending on the size and condition. Once the inspection is complete, we will review the log maintenance report and discuss the findings.

If access to the interior...
your inspector will check the overall condition of the interior log walls looking for obvious signs of water damage, insect damage and improper settling.

Recommendations for Repairing and Maintaining the Logs
Total Log Surface and Total Linear Feet of Log Seams
(To receive accurate estimates or order log home products)
